I think that Brad's built sst on OS X, and by implication everything
before that, so it should be that he can go ahead and build AST on the
branch, but I don't think he's actually said that. I don't see there
being a problem, though. (Brad can speak for himself, of course, but
is doubtless asleep by now).
David(B), were you planning to do the merge of the AST branch onto the
trunk? It's probably more straightforward for Brad to do the JNIAST
work with an autoconfable AST on the trunk rather than one on a branch.
I don't think you'd need the SSN/78 documentation (today!) to do the
merge, though I can see it would be reassuring if it were there.
