costume looks more like 16th to me, Jim.
reminds me very much of some of those Entombment tableaux and other sculptures
found in the Troyes region of that date.
presumably the costume would have been in the _mode_ of the time of the
sculpture, not of its "model"(?).

Seated Throne of Wisdom type Virgin and Child statues originated in the 11th
and 12th centuries, but were largely superceded in the 13th century by a
standing Virgin and Child. It is my belief that
the revival of the seated Virgin type represents an attempt to copy older
models, in line with the many miraculous accounts of the origins of these
statues.
that's an interesting idea.
brings up the question of what the models for the 11th c. ones were.
