Apparently there's a movement afoot by Pamela Anderson's fan club to get
her canonized - before her death.
I also searched my every saints book and dogpiled and googled Saint
Pamela, but all I could find even remotely associated with your query was
the above. "Somewhere" in my house, I have a book of names and their
meanings. I suspect that "Pamela" is a feminine derivative from a Latin
name, possibly "Pammelius"; someone by that name is mentioned in the
Catholic Encyclopedia on line.
