medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Thanks to listmembers who contributed to this thread. At the
moment, I'm concluding that Hall's use of "church of England"
was not anachronistic but echoes contemporary use of the term,
before it became the proper name of the reorganized church
during the Reformation.
