Dear Colleagues,
The annual Metamorphic Studies Group 'Research in Progress' meeting will take place at Burlington House in London on Thursday, 4th March, with a prize for the best presentation by a postgraduate student. The invited speaker is Dr Simon Wallis of Nagoya University, who will give a talk on 'The Problem of Hot Subdiction Zones'. The conference opens at 11:00 am, but there will be coffee available in the Lower Library from 10:30 am.
The deadline for receipt of abstracts has been extended to this Friday, 20th February - please contact the MSG secretary ([log in to unmask]) for more details. Further details can be found in the Dec issue of Geoscientist, on the MSG (msg.gly.bris.ac.uk/) or Geological Society (www.geolsoc.org.uk/) websites.
