Are you sure this happened? What was the word for "pig" before 1090? And
how unusual was it for people to have odd or disagreeable names in the MA?
Many people today are named "Roach," and we don't assume that the beast
was named after a nasty person. Perhaps I'm completely missing the point
of your query...
