GETTING THE MOST OUT OF MEETINGS *NEW*
26 February 2004, London
How much of your working life is taken up by meetings? Does it feel as if you take minutes and waste hours? How much real value do you and your colleagues actually get from the time you spend?
This new intensive workshop helps you to make your meetings more useful through good preparation and effective management as well as ensuring that you make a valuable contribution to meetings that you attend.
BENEFITS FROM ATTENDING
Participants will identify the most effective ways to contribute to and chair meetings. They will gain an understanding of how the roles and aims of both the meeting chair and the general participant are most successfully achieved; before, during and after a meeting. They will also have had the opportunity of practicing these skills in a constructive and supportive atmosphere, using techniques that are inclusive and practical.
BY THE END OF THE EVENT PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE:
* Explored the key elements of effective meetings including the respective roles of chair, secretary and member
* Considered practical ways to set up, run and contribute to meetings
* Practised relevant techniques in a supportive environment
* Identified helpful ways to defuse difficult situations
* Exchanged ideas and experience
