I don't think you will find any solid thing about these fabulous beasts.
Roubaud knows realy well the medieval bestiaries, but he can mix them with
invented ones. The medieval "Estoire del Saint Graal" (ed. J.-P. Ponceau,
Paris, Champion, CFMA, 1997, § 353 sq presents a "serpolion" which is an
absolute invention of the medieval author. An oulipian as Roubaud of course
enjoys creating such monsters, made only of words : the babilion is a
babil-lion, a lion of children chat. (Just as the Heffalump of Winnie the
Poo). I've no idea about the tetacris, but it's almost the same "de la meme
farine"...
