Due to popular demand, CSP has commissioned Ronnie Young, presenter of the
CSP Behaviour Management course, to develop and present a one day
introductory course for library staff on basic classroom skills and is
pleased to announce the first course will take place on:
JUNE 21st 2004 at The Orange Studio, Cannon Street, BIRMINGHAM
AIMED AT
The course is aimed at staff with responsibility for planning and delivering
library induction and library-based information skills programmes and those
who wish to develop such programmes.
CONTENT/OUTCOMES
The course will provide a short introduction to:
- basic pedagogical theory
- lesson planning and delivery
- classroom management
The course will be delivered as a series of practical micro-teaching
sessions at the end of which delegates will be able to :
- Design a lesson plan to meet specific learning outcomes
- Incorporate and respond to differences in learning styles
- Be introduced to and be able to implement basic classroom management
skills
LEADER
Ronnie Young. Ronnie has been a teacher for most of her working life,
working with, among others, excluded pupils and young offenders. In her
teaching career she has run a school library and a learning resources centre
and is currently an Ofsted inspector.
