OXFORD ARCHAEOLOGY
Oxford Archaeology is the largest independent archaeological practice in Europe. Since our foundation in 1973, we have worked throughout the UK and on many international projects. We are a registered Educational Charity.
RESEARCHERS and PROJECT OFFICERS
FINDS SPECIALISTS and POST-EXCAVATION
Due to our expanding work programme we are wishing to appoint several extra finds specialists and post-excavation research staff with experience and expertise in the following areas:
ANIMAL BONE
LATER PREHISTORIC AND ROMAN SMALL FINDS
POST-ROMAN POTTERY
GENERAL POST EXCAVATION ANALYSIS
Successful applicants for Researcher positions will have a degree in archaeology and at least 6 months experience, or be a post graduate and / or at least 2 years experience for positions at the Project Officer level.
You will be required to undertake MAP2 assessments, analysis and reports for publication. You will need good research and report writing skills, be able to work as part of a team, a flexible approach to work and a willingness to undertake additional tasks as reasonably required. A familiarity with the archaeology of southern England would be an advantage.
Membership of the IFA is highly desirable.
SALARY RANGE: Researcher: £13,431 - £16,098
Project Officer: £16,534 - £19,248
(both positions depending on experience)
