What colour bananas do you buy?
Colour: Art & Science is an event organised jointly by the Institute of
Physics and the Colour Group [Great Britain] investigating how colour
affects our decision making processes as well as recent psychological and
visual theories of colour.
Held as part of National Science Week on the evening of March 18 at the
Institute of Physics’ headquarters at 76 Portland Place, London W1, Colour:
Art & Science is an exhibition of work by 21 artists and scientists with a
particular interest in colour. There will two talks, the first on how
consumers’ choice of foods is affected by colour (by Dr Douglas MacDougall)
followed by another on alchemy and colour (by Mr Roy Osbourne). Artists
and scientists exhibiting work will also be available during the evening to
talk about their work.
Refreshments will be available from 6pm with the talks starting at 6.30pm.
