The University of Sydney is hosting the 5th issue of the Doctoral Students
Conference from the Pacific Rim Universities (APRU: http//www.apru.org)
The APRU Doctoral Students Network is a students organization that
comprises mainly doctoral students of 36 leading universities from 16
economies in the Pacific Rim. Formed in 2000, its general aim echoes that
of APRU, which is to foster cooperation in education, research and
enterprise thereby contributing to the economic, scientific and cultural
advancement of Pacific Rim economies.
The APRU Doctoral Students Conference aims to improve the international
experience of doctoral students from all disciplines, by providing network
opportunities and a supportive venue for the presentation of their research
results to their peers for critical comment before final submission to
their examiners. The papers presented at the conference address a wide
range of topics grouped under a main theme that changes yearly.
We invite students approaching or at the final stage of completion of their
doctoral thesis to participate. Students in the fields of Humanities and
Social Sciences, Science & Technology and Health Sciences are all
encouraged to apply.
