Hello there, all.
I am embarking on a tough assignment, examining reflective practice.
I have been having a close read of all the varying views on this
method. It seems we are still a long way from exhausting the subject
and its many implications.
I have a vested interest in furthering the boundaries of our
understanding and developing the method further. If I am correct, I
believe case study method has suffered from similar issues of
acceptance. That seems not to be the case today. Changes such as
these seem to create subtle paradigm shifts.
I need to identify what is considered to be, in broad terms, what we
understand to be knowledge:
1. To identify any possible gaps
2. Engage those gaps
3. Expand, if appropriate, our understanding of knowledge.
I realise I could spend my life doing this, so if they exist I am seeking
summaries and the like. I have little success so far, asides from a
couple of books discussing situated knowledge. Seems few people
want to broach the subject.
I feel it is necessary to explore the concept of knowledge, particularly
from the reflective practice standpoint.
What do we find?
How different is it to other research methods?
Questions, questions, questions, none which will be answered easily.
I am asking for anybodies assistance in identifying leads, references
etc, that may assist. That includes opinion from both a quantitative and
qualitative perspective.
I am not just looking at method.
Thank you in advance
KInd regards
