and please note that there are different forms of democracy. and some of
which designers are familiar with. democracy was discussed by john chris
jones. by people in human computer interaction who promote, practice
participatory design. by Harold Nelson & Erik Stotlerman when speaking
about design as service.
my favourite though is john dewey's democracy and education (or
education and democracy).
