Dear All
There has been a few emails flying around suggesting some interest in the
meeting. However I would like to clarify that this is NOT a LAUNCH meeting
for the network. This is merely an "information meeting" for individuals in
the academic, industrial, and health care sectors. A LAUNCH meeting is
planned for March 2005 (to be confirmed).
I apologise for the change of date to Friday 3rd Dec, as this will not be
suitable for all either. This date is however more suitable for Martin Pitt.
We might also look into holding a second "information meeting" early in the
new year, depending on the demand.
If you cannot attend the meeting and 3rd but are interested in obtaining
more information about the network and/or in attending another meeting,
please let me know. I will pass your request to Martin.
Have a nice weekend.
Thierry C.

'Mashnet' - A New Network for Modell
Thierry,
Adding to Jeff's note, there is an 'acid test' that you may care to apply
before changing any dates and creating a lot of work for yourselves. Ask
how many people would *definitely* attend if this were on a more convenient
date for them. If there are that many then holding the talk again would be
a sensible solution. If there is just one or two (or none) I suggest that
you don't waste your time or irritate those who were happy with the
original date.
Best wishes.
