The Industrial Engineering Department is seeking faculty appointments at the
Assistant and Associate level to contribute to the Department's research and
teaching (both undergraduate and graduate) in at least one of the following
fields: Operations Research, Production and Manufacturing Systems,
Logistics, Statistical Quality Control, Design of Experiments, and
Statistics. Interested scholars can also apply for one-year visiting
positions. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree (or near completion) from
an accredited University.

Research in the College of Engineering is the top priority and it is
organized in 18 groups.
The Industrial Engineering Department has 33 full time faculty members and
offers an undergraduate program in Industrial Engineering (ranked first
according to a national exam – ECAES), a master’s program, a doctoral
program, and several professional programs. Faculty in the Department are
organized in three research groups: the Center for Applied Optimization and
Probability - COPA (http://copa.uniandes.edu.co), the Production and
Logistics Center - PYLO, and the Systems Theory and Organizations Center –
TESO.
We are proud of our selective group of students. For instance, our admission
to the undergraduate program selects the top tier of students, according to
the national exam. Some of our students have obtained prominent awards and
prizes such as the 1st place on the 10th Annual Student Simulation
Competition Finals of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (Houston; May
17th , 2004), among others.
