UNIVERSITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
International Centre for Music Studies
TEMPORARY LECTURER IN MUSIC
Based in the International Centre for Music Studies (ICMuS) at the
University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, you will have the primary role of
supporting its expanding MMus programme. The post is funded by a European
Social Fund grant, awarded to facilitate this expansion. The lecturer may
also be required to work to some extent in other areas of ICMuS activity.
The MMus covers all aspects of creative practice; applications are invited
from specialists in composition, performance or studio-based practice, and
expertise in more than one of these areas (and indeed in other aspects of
musical studies) will be an advantage.
You should have, or be close to obtaining, a PhD and possess an
established research profile or demonstrable research potential of high
quality. You should be sympathetic to the pluralistic culture of ICMuS.
Tenable from 13 September (or as soon as possible thereafter) until March
2005 in the first instance.
