Hello folks
The FISH Interoperability Toolkit project is aimed at improving the
tools available to supply data between different heritage sector
information resources.
As the automated message just sent to the list says, a questionnaire to
help FISH to understand your needs for this sort of tool has just been
launched, and I would like to invite all list members to contribute. The
intention is to ensure that the Toolkit meets *your* needs.
The User Needs Questionnaire asks about what experience you have had in
trying to use other people's data, what problems you have experienced,
or which might put you off trying in the first place! Also you will have
the opportunity to say what sorts of data you would like to receive in
future. Replies are anonymous. They will simply assist FISH in trying to
build tools that meet your needs. You have until **Wednesday 26th May**
to complete the survey.
The survey can be accessed via
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/fish.html
Follow the 'Surveys' link. From the page that opens, select the 'FISH
Interoperability Toolkit User Needs Questionnaire' from the drop down
menu, and click on the 'Fill Out Survey' button.
Most questions are multiple-choice. It should not take more than ten
minutes to complete.
When you have completed your answers click on the 'Submit' button to
register your responses.
Notes on completing the survey:-
- The system may ask you for a username and password. If you do not have
one, or have mislaid it, you can get a reminder from the JISCmail
computer. Go to http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/ and click on 'Register
Password'. These security measures are there to protect you and other
JISCmail users from spam.
- When you reach the survey form, you may like to print it out and come
back later to fill in your answers.
- You are only able to submit answers once to the survey. It is
unfortunately not possible to edit your responses once they are
submitted.
- If you have any problems please contact me off-list at
