MANX NATIONAL HERITAGE 

CURATOR: COLLECTIONS DOCUMENTATION AND RECORDS
 (Salary: £21,109 - £26,724 - Pay Award Pending)


The uniquely integrated service of Manx National Heritage (MNH) has won
major awards including British Isles Museum of the Year on two occasions, a
special award in the European Museum of the Year competition and the
Interpret Britain Award. Manx National Heritage is an energetic organisation
with a strong programme of development. A career opportunity is now
available for an experienced and highly-motivated individual within this
unique and successful organisation. 

The postholder will:

        *       Be responsible to the Curatorial Services Officer and Head
of Professional Services for the ongoing development, supervision and
maintenance of collections documentation systems and procedures
        *       Maintain and develop information databases within MNH's key
areas
        *       Maintain and develop an integrated information system
        *       Provide policy advice on professional and public access
issues to MNH databases 	
        *       Have appropriate degree, qualifications, training and
experience in database management and documentation systems

This is an Isle of Man Civil Service Post on the staff of Manx National
Heritage.
