The ending was amazing and I couldn't help thinking that
it fucntioned at least obliqely as a tribute to
Kieslowski--to send the film up to him. I also wonder to
what extent Tykwer's more surreal and hypnotic style might
be in response to Kieslowski. (I also can't help
wondering what it would be like to see Blanchett directed
by K.) Any thoughts on Kieslowski connections??
