As part of my doctoral thesis, I'm trying to look at what has been written on film and phenomenology, and more specifically the work of Amedee Ayfre. Does anybody have any suggestions for where to start?
I'm interested as well, particularly in translations. These have not been readily available, though I know they do exist. At the recent SCMS conference in Atlanta, I was able to pick up later in the conference all the UMinnPr books on Deleuze--does this mean that film studies people are going to forget Deleuze the way they've forgotten Ayfre?
I'd also like to hear more about phenomenology, the great neglected dimension of film study.
