A South African newspaper recently wrote about people's response to Michael
Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11. At the time people (here) were speculating on
whether or not it could swing the vote. The paper commented that neither
Fahrenheit 9/11, nor the "right wing" movie that came out more or less the
same time, The Passion of the Christ (Gibson) made half as much money as
Spiderman did and that perhaps the American people wanted a good guy
swinging around town saving the good & vulnerable
(Posted with sincere apologies to those who did not vote for Spiderman - the
last sentence with apologies to Spiderman!)
