_Abigail's Party_ and _Naked_ come to mind. Both conform to John's
definition, although to the extent that Leigh's work is critical,
neither film can be taken as wholly nihilistic I suppose. To me, they
seem to confront us with nihilism in order to provoke a
counter-movement. And one more perhaps; _Man Bites Dog_ presents a
pretty nasty and despairing picture of a mediated world I think.
