Dear Nate,
I don't get scrambled messages but from what you have written below it
sounds as if your email software is trying to convert a HTML document into
plain text. The other possibility is that it is a software settings or
incompatibility problem.
If you send me some details on your pc off-list - such as which version of
windows that you are using, which software you are using to access your mail
and whether it's an Apple Mac or a PC - I will try to help you solve the
mystery. I will also need to know whether you have recently upgraded
Internet Explore to SP2 (service pack 2). Also keep a note of whom the
scrambled messages are coming from - don't forget this list is global so
there might be some regional differences in the software.
I can remember quite some time back getting a message from the list that we
should send in our postings using plain text so it could be something as
simple as someone sending in a HTML document without realising, sending an
email directly from their MS Word software or copying and pasting their text
into their email from some other piece of word processing software - this
sometimes brings the original formatting along with it that other pcs cannot
read .
Good luck,
Julia
