Hi,
A student of mine wants to study "the globalization of film production
and distribution". This seems like an interesting topic, but I wasn't
able to suggest any literature off hand. There's lots of material on
Hollywood domination of the world market, but I think there is more to
this issue than just Hollywood. A few titles suggest that
American-Europen relations have also been explored to some extent, but
even that seems a but limited. How do the mechanisms of international
film function as selective processes controlling the production and
international distribution of films in our day and age?
Could someone help?
