Hi
Enquiry: Brutalism and Film
I am interested in the appearance of concrete architecture in films. Its
rare that concrete and the brutalist style make an appearance. In "Devil's
Advocate" Keanu Reeves walks out onto a water-garden on top of a skyscraper
in Manhattan (Al Pacino's office). The shape of the garden is an arrow
ironically pointing to the 'Mies'-style steel and glass skyscrapers across
the city. Brutalism's comic qualities are often overlooked.
Can anyone tell me where the building is and/or if they know of any other
concrete film appearances, "Get Carter" apart.
