I spun off my answers yesterday too quickly, forgetting to write down
two films I had in my head.
Brother can be seen as Kitano's approach to America (especially it's
racism). And Sakamoto Junji's new film, Out of this World, deals with
the America of the Occupation era, using it as a parable of the post
9-11 world. It will be released in Japan next month. You can catch the
