I am affraid, the symbols are not functions of the individual,
rather of a social and cultural interpretation (not psychological),
the content of a symbol is defined by cultural consensus and agreement
(rooting in the historical background), which causes quite striking
contrasts between different cultures, that can be noticed even nowadays,
