Wojciech Has' _The Sandglass_ opens on a train, in which it's the
vehicle for passage to the "after-world" where the rest of the film
takes place ... as it is throughout Trinh T. Minh-ha's recent _Night
Passage_ ... which in turn reminded me of Miyazaki's _Spirited Away_
