I'm not sure I get how you're using 'propositional'. It seems to me that
words, pictures and music all suggest different 'propositional' approaches.
Also, I am not getting the 'relevence' of S&W's approach to meaning in film.
But this latter may just be too big a topic. Do you think what they are about
speaks well to this question?
It's interesting to me, and a bit dissapointing that such a central question
about theories of meaning as extended to film, should have drawn so few
replies.
