Robert Mulligan's SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR shows the trajectory of a
relationship across some 20 years or so, but in scenes that come in five
year increments, showing the social and cultural changes at work on the
couple. However, it meets your needs since the first scene portrays the
beginning of the relationship and the last scene shows its ending.

Subject: stephanSE BEFORE SUNRISE
Before Sunrise, Pretty Woman, Falling in Love, Brief Encounter, The Bridges
in Madison County have in common that a relation starts, devolops and dies.
One night, a few days of a week, a week, some thursdays etc. I am in search
for similar films. Allready years ago I wanted to include som thought in my
filmthinking-essays. Viewing Before Sunrise the other night again the
question was agAIN: What happens/does not happen inside the frame of a
start, a devolopment and death? The story in the five mentioned films are
different but same.
