For a section of a paper on adaptation, I am trying to wrack my brain for
examples of films by women, based on books or stories by women. Can the
learned folks on this list help flesh out my (somewhat pathetically) short
list? I have so far:
Swann (Anna Benson Gyles/Carol Shields)
The Republic of Love (Deepa Mehta/Shields)
Mansfield Park (Patricia Rozema/Austen)
Kissed (Lynne Stopkewich/Barbara Gowdy)
Many thanks in advance for any and all suggestions,
Lee Parpart
