Hi Peter,
you can do this using the snapshot tool which makes sure all the
relevant bits of the database are changed.
The user information in the database is keyed on the EXTERNAL_PERSON_KEY
rather than USERID so you can change the details associated with a
particular key. The EXTERNAL_PERSON_KEY is either what was given when
the account was originally created if you use snapshot, or, the userid
if you create accounts using the gui.
If the account was created in the gui, you will need to change the
EXTERNAL_PERSON_KEY as well. I think you may have to do this before
changing the userid
The format is
EXTERNAL_PERSON_KEY|USERID|NEW_EXTERNAL_PERSON_KEY
using the existing USERID and EXTERNAL_PERSON_KEY
then change the name with
EXTERNAL_PERSON_KEY|USERID|FIRSTNAME|LASTNAME|EMAIL
using the new details.
if you have any questions about this, drop me a line.
regards
Jon
