Janetta,
There is another way - which we often use at Sunderland with WebCT but
relies on being able to edit the exported IMS compliant XML from out
Student Admin system. For example, we might populate a single module
course with the registrations on three programmes. With this in mind, we
would create one instance of - using your example - Psychology AS and
hand edit three separate XML files to change three course codes to carry
a single Psychology AS course code. This can then be imported into
Psychology AS thus populating the same course with three subcohorts.
In this way you can eliminate the need to create three instances that
require triple the effort of managing the content.
It obviously takes some work but if you're lucky and registrations have
all been done in your Student Admin system, you only need to do it once.
