PhD Research Studentship in English

The School of Arts and Humanities invites applications from UK or EU
students for the following full-time research studentship in English.
The Department of English particularly welcomes applications for
research in:
* Early Modern Literature and Culture (including Early Modern London)
* Romanticism and Romantic period writing
* Literature of the Fin de Siécle
* Victorian Literature
Applications in other areas may be considered.
English Studies
The English Studies Department at Oxford Brookes University was rated 5
in the 2001 national Research Assessment Exercise and 'Excellent' in the
most recent national teaching assessment. It was recently ranked the
best department in the country in the Guardian University guide, above
many 'old' university departments.
* The successful candidate will receive a £10k annual bursary for
each of the three years of the award (plus a 3% increase each year).
Tuition fees will be waived.
