SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS PROGRAMME Leeds
Fast-Track permanent career opportunities
Are you developing a career as an independent researcher? This could
be your opportunity to progress rapidly towards a high level,
permanent Academic position as part of a world-leading research team
at the University of Leeds.
The University places high value on its status as a Research
University and, in order to enhance research quality and assist in
the development of a research culture, has established a Research
Fellowships Programme aimed at attracting dynamic and promising
researchers on the threshold of an outstanding academic career to
work with research groups of international quality. If you have
already gained substantial post doctoral (or equivalent) experience
and established a track record of achievement employed on high
quality research projects, these posts offer the opportunity to build
on this and develop your skills as an independent researcher,
progressing towards a career as a permanent member of the Academic
staff. This is the seventh year of recruitment to the Programme, with
over 60 appointments having been made in earlier years, many of whom
have progressed to become Readers or Professors within, or shortly
after the Fellowship period. In 2004 seven faculties are
participating in the scheme. Some have selected specific fields of
study for this year's programme; others invite applications from
across the field of research interests as follows:
