Project Manager for Clinical Trials Publication

The Public Library of Science (PLoS) is a nonprofit organization of
scientists and physicians committed to making the world's scientific and
medical literature a public resource. PLoS publishes scientific and
medical journals according to an open-access model, in which all
research literature is freely available online for anyone, anywhere to
read, download, print, distribute, and reuse. Our flagship journals,
PLoS Biology and PLoS Medicine, publish outstanding research, covering
all aspects of life science and medicine.
We are now recruiting a PROJECT MANAGER to head the development and
launch of a journal focused on publishing the results of clinical
trials. In addition to overseeing the journal, the project manager will
work with clinical trials' registries and databases to optimize the
accessibility and utility of data associated with published trials.
This is a full-time position based either at our headquarters in San
Francisco or at our European office in Cambridge, UK. We are looking for
an energetic, open-minded, visionary individual to join our efforts to
develop a scientific and medical publication infrastructure for the 21st
century. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and
communication skills - both written and oral - as well as a background
in medicine or medical research and knowledge of clinical trials and/or
clinical trials' databases.
