Keith
We couldn't quite believe what we were being asked to do. We are
a small institution so the additional reporting is not a huge job for
us - but that's not the point.
The SLC has the attendance information they require already (via
the daily returns) - they should use it.
Our main gripe is that the Student Loans Officer is spending most
of his time dealing with students who are angry at the College as
they've been told by the SLC that they have not received their
money because we have simply not confirmed their attendance.
We offer an accurate explanation but the damage is already done
adn we are the bad guys.
We're doing what is asked of us, albeit reluctantly, in an attempt to
ensure our students get their money asap.
