You mean this was for real, I assumed it was one of my colleagues playing
an elaborate practical joke.
So let me get his right. The SLC introduce a new computer system that is
not properly piloted and is inadequate for the job. They spend several
months denying there are any serious problems and attempt to prevent
anyone talking to the press about it, I believe they closed down the LEA
discussion area on the Protocol website.
When they finally admit, too late, there is a problem it is thrown back on
HEI's to find ways of supporting the students who turn up without their
loans.
And then they expect us to add last minute manual systems to cope with the
fact that they are too lazy to deal with the information we are already
sending them.
Are you sure this is not April 1st.
Good luck to everyone else trying to make sense of the latest SLC foul up.
Regards
David Ealey
