We do not assay folate, Troponin T or electrophoresis on LiHep PST 2 tubes,
but they are invaluable when dealing with samples from our renal unit and
ITU where patients are on high doses of heparin, and the clot will not clot!
They also have a smaller blood volume and mean that we do not have to wait
for urgent A&E samples to clot before centrifugation.
