Further your comment, Tom, about this student possibly testing the market....
There is already such a UK site [ recently mentioned on this discussion list viz.
http://www.coursework.info/ ]
that includes a note of the number of new pieces of work added every day. Yesterday, it
claimed 290 new ones;
Wednesday, 327 new ones; Tuesday the 24th, apparently 348 new pieces of work added ...
and so on. Looking under
level-of-study categories on the site, it's clear most of these new 'documents' are
A-level or below. The site offers a
"submit-3-of-your-own and download for free" policy but there is no way of knowing
whether that's the source of their supply.
So this rather miserable and stodgy Sheffield student's site will have some real
competition out there in the marketplace.
I'm also reminded of a site set up by Enid Carlson in 2000 at the U of California
somewhere - not sure exactly which
campus. Enid offered a free exchange site and had over a million hits before her
university insisted she close it down. I
don't know the grounds for insisting it closed nor if they would be relevant to
Sheffield.... maybe bringing the University into
disrepute? but I doubt it.
