The Plagiarism Advisory Service is pleased to announce that an inaugural
Plagiarism: Prevention, Practice and Policy conference will be held at St
James' Park, Newcastle upon Tyne on the 28th, 29th and 30th June 2004.
Submissions are invited from researchers, lecturers and students on papers
relating to the following themes :-
* The impact of technology on plagiarism prevention and detection
* Implementing electronic detection software into academic policies
and procedures
* Using innovative assessment techniques and strategies to prevent and
deter plagiarism
* Addressing cultural diversity when informing students about
plagiarism
* Incorporating the student perspective on plagiarism
* Incorporating best practice into academic policies and procedures
