Dear All,
There are still a few places left on the following Netskills workshops
running at the University of Nottingham in November:
1. Safety, Security and Privacy on the Internet (November 2nd)
Whether we wish to protect our privacy, secure our systems or just cope
with the ever increasing amounts of information, the issues facing both
providers and users of web services are increasingly complex. This
workshop aims to highlight the dangers inherent in email and
web-browsing and demonstrates how to use the internet safely avoiding
some of the threats
2. Detecting and Deterring Plagiarism (November 3rd)
This practical workshop explores web-based and other methods of
detecting and deterring plagiarism, and is aimed in particular at
teaching, administrative and library staff in further and higher
education.
* Note that both these workshops are subsidised through the JISC,
significantly reducing costs for eligible participants.
Full details of these workshops, together with booking forms are
available from our events web-site:

Steve Boneham.
