Dear listmembers,
Some new additions to the Plagiarism Advisory Service website.
Whilst the service was established to support institutions in their
endeavours to prevent and detect student plagiarism, we are aware that
plagiarism by academics is also an issue that can have potentially dramatic
consequences. We are, therefore, pleased to announce the addition of a paper
by Rebecca Marsh, Head of Editorial, and Jenny Pickles, New Business
Development Manager, at Emerald Group Publishing Limited outlining the
approaches taken by publishers to protect their authors.

Those listmembers who were able to attend Prof. Charles Oppenheim's session
on "Legal issues associated with plagiarism and collusion" at the
Plagiarism: Prevention, practice and policies Conference in June will be
pleased to hear that the slides from this session are now available on our
website.

Finally, advance notice of forthcoming workshops throughout the UK have also
been added.
