Our solution is to deliver decent HTML [1] and CSS to most people, but give
a different experience entirely to Netscape users (aka those whose browsers
trigger the browser detection code :-}). If, like us, you start with higher
level XML and transform it on demand, you can actually give them
different content
and/or structure, rather than just tweaking the CSS. We add a message to the
pages (I think we do, anyway) telling them explicitly that they are using
a substandard piece of software.

[1] yes, Brian, its not always valid against the DTD. my XSLT isn't
bulletproof.
