Apologies for cross-posting.
The eighth Institutional Web Management Workshop will be held at the
University of Birmingham on 27-29 July 2004.
This annual event provides an opportunity for those involved in planning,
developing or supporting institutional Web services to update their skills,
hear about new developments, share their experiences and, last but not
least, socialise with their peers from other institutions.
The workshop consists of plenary talks, a wide range of participative
parallel sessions, discussions groups, debates, etc.
The call for speakers and workshop facilitators is now open.
The theme for this year's event is "Transforming The Organisation". We
particularly welcome submissions which reflect this theme. This could
include examples of how an organisation has been restructured in order to
ensure the provision of quality Web services or how Web services themselves
are transforming the traditional role of the organisation. In addition we
also welcome proposals which provides examples of best practices in a
variety of areas.
There will be a small number of plenary talks, but a larger number of
parallel workshop sessions, so we particularly welcome proposals for
workshop sessions.
Details of the event and the call are available at
<http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/web-focus/events/workshops/webmaster-2004/>.
If you would like to discuss your ideas please contact myself or a member of
the programme committee - see
<http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/web-focus/events/workshops/webmaster-2004/committee/
>.
Please send in your proposal as soon as possible, and no later than 27
February.
Thanks
Brian
