Dear Rosan,
there is quite a lot of work done in eg museum studies on evaluating
the educational or interpretive role of exhibitions. There is also
work on visitors experience. However, as far as I have been able to
find out, little is done in actually defining the visual and spacial
context of the experience and how the design influence the visitors
perception of the exhibition theme.
Was that an answer?
I am at the moment trying to find out how, and if, it is possible to
single out, describe and analyse the design of the exhibition
experience.
Thank you for the question, it made me focus on a friday afternoon!
Kind regards,
Hanna
