Dear Maryam
thanks for your question. as a result, i benefit from others' pointers.
it is related to my study, you see. maybe we can help each other out.
i have a number of questions that may help us think about how to move forward in the right direction:
at what stage of you research are you? (e.g. do you have a more specific question or hypothesis?)
at what level of work are you aiming? (masters, phd, doctor?)
in which area of design are you? (product, human-computer interaction, architectural, communication etc?)
how familiar are you with the history of design methods, both academic and practical?
what type of experts can you find in your close surroundings?
and have you identified a line of research that you would like to follow?
and what is your personal affinity to reseach? (a theoretical study? an empirical study? quantitative or qualitative analysis?)
after your research, do you want to work for business, acadamia, development in the third world etc?
i feel that answer to these questions will help determine which body of literature to focus. the field is huge.
