EDINA is a university based JISC-designated National Data Centre,
delivering services to staff and students in UK higher and further
education (see http://edina.ac.uk).
We seek a Project Officer to join a small team working on a project to
deliver SUNCAT, the national union catalogue of serials data for the UK.
You will work with the SUNCAT Bibliographic Quality Advisory Group (BQAG)
and other members of the SUNCAT Team to contribute to direct discrete
parts of the Bibliographic Workpackage including customising an extant
algorithm for matching bibliographic records. This post will complement
that of the present Project Officer.
You should have extensive cataloguing experience, some of which should be
with serials, and a strong knowledge of cataloguing standards such as
AACR2, MARC21 and LCSH. The ability to work as part of a team is
essential as is attention to detail and accuracy and an analytical and
structured approach to problem solving.

based in the Main Library, George Square. Salary range œ21,125 œ27,339
pro rata.
