* If the idea was to do anything in order to stop Bush,
then the Demos did, indeed, wage an inferior campaign.
They were too intent on offering the facts that
Americans didn't want to hear: growing poverty, huge
debt, religion is nonsense as social policy, and others
hate us so badly that-- come the next 9/11-- there will
be dancing in the streets of The World.
* In any case, I disagree with those that think that
personality projection had much to do with choice of
candidate; although for the sake of argument I concur
that Kerry has a vegetative persona. The choices this
time were clear, and all available evidence suggests
that Americans chose in accordance with said beliefs.
In short, America has willfully chosen Fascism and,
therefore, Fascist Truth.
Bill Harris
When you say that "America" has chosen this police
state reality you delete in your summation a huge part
of the human biomass of the american state who've never
ever been given a choice in who their leadership is --
from the very beginning. their presence as an
unrepresented and yet still taxed group of citizens --
existing hardily, despite institutionalized attempts to
marginalize and erase them -- their presence will
continue to indicate that Democracy never germinated in
the United States of America -- not since day one.
it simply did not - and even sincere students of Plato
might be oddly, tellingly "split" on this issue -- some
might simply choose not to notice that the ideals of
Plato don't want anything like what real Democratic
politics would have to offer.
the philosophical science of caste was all they hat to
do go -- that and plato. and so if you are going to
comment on the politics that just happened in the United
States of America last week -- and yet avoid taking into
account the foundation of this Republic you're mising
the point.
There is an America that will fily chooses fascism and
it is refelcted by Bush, many but not all who voted for
him -- and by all those who think that the tyraany of
agression, racist and misogynous -- that started the
U.S. gov't in colonial times was perfectly good an
acceptable in its practice. Humanity collectivly has
evolved since that time but there are many who
seemingl;y exist simply to prop up a vesitge of 200+
years back on the evolutionary ladder -- and even
farther as we who have consulted its Platonic origins
know well.
but the point is that noticing Fascism in america is
noticing something that has been with the United States
since its inception -- noticing a pattern of oppression
and denial that existed perhaps before the word fascism
was coined.
democracy? democracy, real administration of, by and
for the people would have to be created andchampioned by
american people or they will never ever get it. what is
becoming obvious is that he system currently running is
NOT democracy -- it was a big lie to say that
constitutional republic, which reeelects itself like a
robot builiudng a new robot to replace it when it breaks
down --it is constitutional republic which is the thing
that has "failed' to bring real democracy to Americans.
And it didn't actually "fail" -- it never INTENDED to
give democracy to americans -- it told them that THAT'S
WHAT THEY WERE GETTING and they FELL for it. creating
democracy will take a different way of thinking. but
it's a nationalist error to assume that americans --
lacking sophistication, perhaps, on the surfece -- lack
the mental ability or depth to handle these problems.
all human beings posess the ability to use epistemic
thought to their evolutionary advantage. the line that
separates the philosophical theorists is usually our
understanding and "adroitness" with the vocabulary
involved.
if the rise of fascist ideology to the top is some soirt
of evolutionary milestone it's just aas well. it ma6y
actually take a defeat of this sort to allow the
progressivces of the upcoming year and century to
re-ecvaluate failed ideologies and strategies. but
fascism in america -- Bush is just the same face of
Bendict Arnold, George Washington and others who
performed atrocities in the name of will to power and
manifest destiny. Thomas Jerrefson was a lot like
George Bush -- he knew they were walking all over people
and giving them no freedom and calling tehemselves
righteous -- he knew that africans and the aboriginal
citizens of the continent were being walked all over -
-he did it anyway. now we have had many many years to
learn about tis human "archetype of monster" -- it is
napoleon, it is hitler, it is nero, it is all of our
classic villains over again and humanity must learn tpo
solve this problem. and yes, it is plato again.
which is to say it is nether xeno, it is not critas by a
longshot -- it isn't any classic philosopher who saw the
sublimne beauty, the tenderness in each person and
therfore would never champion a philosopht that values
the skeletal hand of state over the tenderness and
priceless value of individual life. americans, who are
unaware that plato is their dark babysitter and couldn't
care if they lived or died as individuals als long as
"kjustice" and Republik are served -- might do well to
examine this foundation.
but make no mistake -- america is born in war for
resources bewtween erupoeans and darker skinned people
with fewer hard resources. this is what the gaia is
showing the world now, one has but to look. fascism,
complete with race strategies and bullying, BIRTHED
america. all the brave deas were sugary tyopnic top make
the nasty medicine of war and barbarism taste nice to
teh future. which is us, the living contemplating the
actions of thoise who were informed by the ancient
stratgizing of plato and socrates and their pals every
day thousads of years later.
